Yes, this week and weekend Asheville and our Asheville bed and breakfast welcomes “The Guild Fair”. It’s a twice-a-year gathering of the largest juried guild of crafters in the southeast. Once in July and again in October. And the Asheville Civic Center, about a half mile from our Asheville bed and breakfast location in the Montford Historic District, is the venue.

Since 1948, the Southern Highlands Craft Guild has been the high standard among artisans in the mountains areas of nine southern states. You can expect some wonderful treats when you go: Crafter’s demonstrations, live music of our region and, of course, over 200 exhibitors will be there to show off their original and diverse artistry. Wood worked items and furniture. Hand-made glass. Musical instruments. Hand-made fabrics. Quilts. Jewelry.
