The “Carolina Mountain Ribfest”, not far from our Asheville bed and breakfast at the WNC Agricultural Center Fairgrounds, is everyday this weekend. Starting today and running through Sunday, you can come to taste, to get your fingers sticky, to enjoy the handiwork of some of the best award-winning barbeque chefs in this area. And after you’ve tasted and compared, you can also vote for your favorite to receive the festival’s “Golden Pig Award” ( No, seriously…I did not make that up!)

And an outdoor food fest in the mountains, in the Summer…what else? Music, of course! Bluegrass, and ‘hillbilly rock’ are on tap for Saturday. Want more? Well, we did say they are all at the Fairgrounds venue…what else ? You guessed it! Rides. For kids but also for adults!
